591-1-1-.03(9) · Rule 591-1-1-.03(9) requires that staff shall not engage in, or allow children or other adults to engage in, activities that could be detrimental to a child’s health or well-being, such as but not limited to, horse play, rough play, wrestling, and picking up a child in a manner that could cause injury.

During an investigation, it was determined that on April 25, 2024, a three-year-old child was pulling and tugging on a hula hoop, let go, and fell back and hit their head on a piece of fire department pipe, that was protruding from the building. The child received a cut to the head from the pipe. Professional medical attention was required.
