    591-1-1-.03(9) · Rule 591-1-1-.03(9) requires staff shall not engage in or allow children or other adults to engage in activities that could be detrimental to a child’s health or well-being, such as but not limited to, horse play, rough play, wrestling, and picking up a child in a manner that could cause injury.

    During an investigation, it was determined that on August 19, 2024, a three-year-old child sustained a chin injury due to participating in rough play in the classroom. The child placed a stool on its side and used the stool incorrectly in the classroom. The three-year-old child placed the round stool on its side, laid across the stool on their stomach, fell off and struck their chin on the floor. The child received professional medical attention.
