During an Incident Investigation Closure conducted on April 26, 2023, it was determined based on investigative findings that on March 3, 2023, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a staff person grabbed and twisted a four-year-old child's arm, hit the child's stomach, and forcefully pressed down on the child's face while correcting the child's behavior in the classroom. 2.A. Rule 591-1-1-.31(13) prohibits Center Staff from committing any criminal act, as defined under Georgia law, in the presence of any child enrolled in the Center and requires Center staff to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. During a Licensing Study conducted on June 7, 2022, it was determined based upon observation that the tag for the vehicle used for transportation (tag #RDM9254) had expired in January 2022. 2. B. Rule 591-1-1-.31(13) prohibits Center Staff from committing any criminal act, as defined under Georgia law, in the presence of any child enrolled in the Center and requires Center staff to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. During an Incident Investigation Closure conducted on April 26, 2023, it was determined based on investigative findings that on March 3, 2023, a staff person used inappropriate discipline technique towards a four-year-child while other enrolled children were present. The staff member was arrested on March 6, 2023.
