During an investigation, it was determined that on May 16, 2025, center staff was observed to handle a 4-year-old child roughly when they lifted the child by their arms over a white border on the playground because the child did not follow directions. The staff member pushed the child multiple times as the child walked toward a bench where the child was told to sit. The staff member was arrested as a result of the incident and charged with simple battery.
