    591-1-1-.03(9) · Rule 591-1-1-.03(9) requires that staff shall not engage in, or allow children or other adults to engage in, activities that could be detrimental to a child’s health or well-being, such as but not limited to, horse play, rough play, wrestling, and picking up a child in a manner that could cause injury.

    During an investigation, it was determined that on December 9, 2022, center staff picked up a one-year-old child in a manner that caused an injury. The child sustained an injury to the arm after a staff member lifted the child by the hand and wrist. The child required professional medical attention to treat the injury. The staff member was immediately terminated.
