591-1-1-.26(4) · Rule 591-1-1-.26(4) requires that playgrounds be protected from traffic or other hazards by a (4) four foot high fence or other barrier approved by this Department. Fencing material shall not present a hazard to children and shall be maintained so as to prevent children from leaving the playground area by any means other than through an approved access route. Fence gates shall be kept closed except when persons are entering or exiting the area.

During a Licensing Study conducted on July 19, 2024 ; It was determined based on observation that the following hazards were observed: - The fence gate on the front right side of the building measured at approximately three feet eight inches. - The fence gate on the front left side of the building measured at approximately three feet eight inches. - The back fence near the tree in the back of the playground measured approximately three feet 10 inches. - There was a gap measuring four inches at the bottom of the first fence gate on the left side of the playground.

During a Monitoring Visit conducted on May 22, 2025 ; It was determined based on observation that there was a five inch gap at the bottom of the fence gate located at the back left of the Main playground A.
