During an investigation, it was determined that on May 27, 2025, staff used inappropriate discipline with a 3-year- old child when evidence revealed that in the Preschool classroom between 8:17 a.m. and 9:04 a.m., staff hit the child's hand with a toy bin, dragged the child by their arms in a forceful manner to remove them from an area, threatened the child, and yelled at the child. It was further determined that on May 27, 2025 between 10:29 a.m. and 11:17 a.m. in the 2-year-old classroom, staff pushed the child, slapped the child in their face, hit the child on their head, twisted the child's left ear and left wrist, and dragged the child by their left arm in an aggressive manner to take the child to the bathroom.

During an investigation, it was determined that on May 27, 2025, a 3-year-old child was inappropriately disciplined by staff members while in the classroom. The staff members hit the child’s hand with a toy bin, dragged the child by their arms in a forceful manner, pushed the child, slapped the child in their face, hit the child on their head, twisted the child’s ear and wrist, and dragged the child by their arm in an aggressive manner to take the child to the bathroom. The staff members were arrested on June 13, 2025, and charged with simple battery.

It was determined based on an investigation that on September 12, 2024, center staff inappropriately disciplined a 4-year-old child when they became disruptive in the Pre-K Classroom. Center staff aggressively grabbed and pulled the child by their upper limbs, as they forcefully moved the child to the next-door Private Pre-K Classroom. The child cried, screamed, and complained of hand and arm pain while at the center. The child’s parent was contacted and informed that the child did not have a good day. The parent picked up the child and took the child to receive professional medical attention. The child was diagnosed with a fracture to their right arm.
