The annual fire inspection was conducted on 10/29/2024. 23-4: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the fire extinguisher in the vehicle had a 1A:10BC fire extinguisher. During the inspection, the director stated that she had an extra tagged fire extinguisher that was greater then the 2A:10BC rating. During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 14 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 14 of the 14 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. 33-9: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 employee did not have documentation that the safe sleep training was completed within 30 days of their hire date. During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist observed the director responsible for daily operations was not at the facility. Licensing Specialist reviewed timesheets for director responsible and observed the last day the director clocked in was 10/07/2024. Staff advised the director was on leave due to damages at home from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. During the time of inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance; CCF Handbook Section 4.7 Director Credential: Section 402.305(2)(g), F.S., requires a child care facility to have a credentialed director. 07-06 · Vehicle Requirements
During the inspection, CCRC observed that the one vehicle used for transport had the vehicle alarm inside, however it was not in working order. TA was given per CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4. TA- By January 1, 2022, all vehicles used by childcare facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle. 1. Approved alarm systems must meet the following criteria: a. The alarm system must be armed or activated automatically when the vehicles ignition is turned on. b. The alarm system must be designed and installed so that the vehicle horn, siren or other type of audio alarm will sound if the driver/staff member does not walk to the rear or, in the case of a passenger van, the side entry point of the vehicle, to manually shut off or deactivate the alarm. c. The time delay from the time the ignition is turned off after activation of the alarm system until the alarm sounds shall be no longer than one minute. d. The alarm must be audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. e. The alarm system must be installed so that the driver must walk to the back of the vehicle to reach the deactivation mechanism. During the inspection, CCRC observed an unlocked storage shed outside, that had a container of concrete sealer, paint, and other hazardous materials that were accessible and within reach of children. During the inspection, CCRC observed an Infant in their crib still wearing their bib and with a pacifier in the infant's mouth with a pacifier clip with a long string attached to the pacifier.
