During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 child care personnel to 14 children. There was 6(2 year old's), 3(3 year old's), 1(4 year old), 1(VPK) and 2 School Age). The facility should have followed the 2 year old ratio since there was more 2 year old's then any other age group. Which would have been the 11:1 ratio. The operator brought this standard back in compliance during the time of the inspection by having another child care personnel come into the classroom. 12-02 · Facility Environment
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the 3/4 year old classroom there was paint peeling on the wall with the television and the front wall with the windows. In the 3 year old classroom the the counter with the sink the side of the counter was peeling and there was a small hole in the wall across from the door in the bathroom. The director was given until March 27, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed cords hanging down and or in the reach of the children in the kitchen the entrance way to the kitchen is open and the children had access to the vacuum, carpet cleaner and there was a dirt devil in the hallway. The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by placing the gate in the entrance way of the kitchen and putting the dirt devil in the locked closest. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed a buildup of dust on the vents in the bathrooms in the following classrooms . The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by cleaning the vents. The director was given until March 27, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed cleaning solution(fabuloso) was stored on a Art shelf in the opening room. In the kitchen under the left sink there was bleach and fabuloso being stored in an unlock cabinet. In the 3 year old classroom there was fabuloso being stored on the counter next to the sink The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection putting up the gate in the entrance of the kitchen and storing the cleaning solutions in a area the children does not have access too. 33-01 · Training Requirements
During the time of inspection, the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 25 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 15 of the 15 employee records. When the Licensing Specialist was reviewing the files the licensing counselor seen one personnel did not finish her 40-hour training. At the time of the inspection the Owner/Operator/Director advised the Licensing Specialist that the employee will not be returning until training is completed therefore putting this back into compliance. CCF Handbook Section 4.1 Beginning Training Childcare personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the childcare industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the childcare industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the childcare industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the childcare industry in any licensed Florida childcare facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a department-approved training course, beginning a department-approved online childcare training course, or by receiving results from a department-approved competency examination. The childcare program is responsible for obtaining training documentation from childcare personnel. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Childcare personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of childcare training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Childcare personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40- hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004, are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. Part I Courses (30 Hours) Childcare personnel must complete all of the following: Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations Health, Safety and Nutrition ,Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Child Growth and Development Behavioral Observation and Screening B. Part II Courses (10 Hours) Child care personnel must also complete 10 hours of the following Part II courses: Special Needs Appropriate Practices (10 hours), or Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices (5 hours) and one of the following courses: 1. 45-4: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that 6 employees did not have documentation that the 5 Year Employment history was verified. During the inspection, Child Care Regulation provided technical assistance, The employer/owner/operator must conduct employment history checks, including documented attempts to contact each employer that employed the individual within the preceding five years, and documentation of the findings. Documentation must include the applicants job title and description of his/her regular duties, confirmation of employment dates, and level of job performance. 46-7: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the two year old classroom was outside on the playground. The staff member advised that they did not have their classrooms attendance and did not have access to the facilitys electronic attendance. Staff advised that the attendance was in the classroom. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist brought the classroom attendance (clipboard) outside. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Attendance devices used for the purposes of tracking attendance may be used, but personnel must ensure the accuracy of the documented attendance.
