Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. 5-4: During the inspection, Child Care Regulation observed that the transportation logs were not complete in that: on 6/8/2023 the children were not sign on or off the vehicle on the way back to the facility from the fieldtrip. On 5/19/2023, 5/22/2023, 5/23/2023 and 5/24/2023 the transportation logs were missing the drivers signatures and the secondary signatures. On 4/9/2023 (Sunday), 4/10/2023 (Monday) and 4/11/2023 (Tuesday), the days on the log were shifted so the log shows that children were transported on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (not Monday and Tuesday). On 3/3/2023, there were no children signed on or off the vehicle however there were drivers signatures and secondary signatures. On 3/20/2023, there was no elementary school or field trips, however children were signed on and off the vehicle. On 3/21/2023 and 3/22/2023 the children were signed in on the wrong date, so that left 3/23/2023 with no children signed on or off the vehicle.
