25-2: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the food in the Toddler A and Toddler B classroom (one year olds) was not cut into 0.5 inches, in that the children received a whole potsticker dumpling. During the inspection, the food was broken up. This is being marked complaint. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.3, C Foods that are associated with young childrens choking incidents must not be served to children under 4 years of age, such as, but not limited to, whole/round hot dogs, popcorn, chips, pretzel nuggets, whole grapes, nuts, cheese cubes/sticks and any food that is of similar shape and size of the trachea/windpipe. Food for infants must be cut into pieces inch or smaller, food for toddlers must be cut into pieces inch or smaller to prevent choking. This applies to all food, even food provided by parents/guardians

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on the playgrounds there was a hole in the ground causing a tripping hazard. The whole on the toddlers playground was on the left side of the playground. The Preschool playground the hole was located in the left front side of the playground located closer to the road side. During the inspection, the director advised that there are currently 22 employees. During the inspection, CCR observed 22 of 22 employee records. During the inspection, CCR observed one personnel did not have a cleared background screening. The director put the personnel on leave until she had a cleared background screening. The back ground screening came back on 4/17/23 saying she was eligible to work. During the inspection, CCR provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 7.4.1 Background Screening Documents Background screening documentation must be maintained for all child care personnel as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S., which includes household members if the facility is located in or adjacent to the home of the operator. Background screening documentation must be on-site and available for the licensing authority to review. C. A copy of the eligible results, for the Level 2 screening, generated from the Clearinghouse must be on record for each personnel. If awaiting Out-of-State criminal history results, a copy of the DCF email informing of the individuals eligibility for a provisional hire status must be in the personnel file
