During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed two items in the refrigerator that were in containers without labels or dates. The first item was a plastic container with yellow substance in it, and bottled container that had a white top, with an orange substance inside. The Licensing Specialist observed a container of oranges that were cut that did not have a cover, nor a label. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a light blue chair that was sitting on the circle time carpet towards the front area of the classroom, that was unsanitary, in that there were stains on the front area of the cushion. During the inspection, there were pictures taken. This standard was brought back into compliance at the time of the inspection. The Director removed the chair from the classroom. The Director removed the cover of the chair and advised the Licensing Specialist that the cover will be washed in the washing machine. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on playground 1 and the soccer field playground the base of the fence had a gap more than 3 inches off the ground and the white perimeter fence is broken. There was a gap of 5 1/2 inches by the turtle statue, by the piping there was a gap of 6 inches, by the blue concrete half circle there was a gap of 5 1/2 inches, across from the goal post there was a 6 1/2 inch gap. The director was given until February 24, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.5 F- Outdoor Play Area. F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. 3-01: On 2/22/2024 at around 11:30 am, the teacher come to the office to asking about making sure that she could leave at 2:30 pm. The curriculum coordinator asked the teacher who was in the Toddler B classroom, since she would upfront in the office and the teacher said that the substitute was in the classroom. The curriculum coordinator told the teacher that she should not just leave the classroom because that would leave the classroom out of ratio (1 teacher with 11 one year olds).
