07-02 · Vehicle Requirements
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that there was no current proof of insurance on file for Licensing to review. The Licensing Specialist did advise the Assistant Director that Licensing would need to receive proof of current vehicle insurance on the bus that is used to transport the children in care. CCF Handbook Section 2.5.4, D Vehicle Requirements For the purpose of this section, vehicles refer to those owned, operated or regularly used by the childcare program, and vehicles that provide transportation through a contract or agreement with an outside entity. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the Provider did not have current documentation on file for the vehicle's annual inspection for Licensing to review. 23-02 · Fire Drills
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the last annual fire inspection was conducted on 6/12/2024. The Licensing Specialist informed the Assistant Director that annual fire inspections are to be conducted annually/prior to expiration date. Licensing Specialist advised the Provider via email that a safety plan will need to be in place until they are able to schedule an appointment for the Fire Marshall to come out and complete fire inspection. CCF Handbook Section 3.8, A Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness A. Unless statutorily exempted, all childcare facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A- 36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. 05-04 · Transportation
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the transportation log was missing the 2nd personnel responsible for conducting 2nd sweep for children as they departed the bus. The Provider was able to correct at the time of the inspection by conducting 2nd sweep and updating signatures for each day missed on the transportation log. This standard was brought back into compliance. During the inspection, Licensing specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 2.5.2, A Transportation Log A log must be maintained for all children being transported in a vehicle or on foot away from and/or to the premises of the childcare facility. The log must be retained on file at the facility for a minimum of 12 months and available for review by the licensing authority. The log must include: 1. Each childs name, 2. The date and time of departure, 3. Time of arrival at the destination, 4. The signature of the driver (or in the case of travelling on foot, the signature of the childcare personnel), and 5. The signature of a second childcare personnel or person(s) authorized by the provider to verify the transportation log and that all children have arrived safely and left the vehicle (if applicable)

During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed 1 personnel record did not include a signed statement regarding any work in a center that had been subject to negative licensing action or the subject of disciplinary action while employed.The Provider was able to have employee sign at time of the inspection. This standard was brought back into compliance. Per CCF Handbook Section 7.4, A Personnel Records Records must be maintained and kept current on all childcare personnel, as defined by Section 402.302(3), F.S. 23-02 · Fire Drills
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed the last fire drill was conducted on 5/9/2024. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 5/18/2023. The fire extinguisher certification is valid until 7/2024. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed 36 children records on file did not have an updated immunization and updated physicals on file. Per DCF Handbook Section 7.1, B Immunization Records B: If the custodial parents or legal guardians fail to provide the documentation required above within 30 days of enrollment, the facility shall not allow the child to remain in the program. The parent/guardian of a child who has not received the age-appropriate immunizations prior to enrollment and who does not have documented medical or religious exemptions from routine childhood immunizations must provide Child Care Facility Handbook Page | 60 documentation of a scheduled appointment or arrangement to receive immunizations.
