12-02 · Facility Environment SACCF Handbook
During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the corner of the wall in the hallway by classroom 1 the wall trim was broken and missing a piece of the trim. In classroom 2 by the outside exit door the flooring was missing a piece. On the bus the first left side seat was ripped and exposing the foam. The operator was given until April 7, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, SACCF Handbook Section3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A. All school-age program facilities must be clean, in good repair, and free from health and safety hazards and vermin. During the hours that the program is in operation, no portion of the building can be used for any activity that presents a risk to the health and safety of the children. Indoor and outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation must be maintained for 12 months

28-01 · Training Requirements SACCF Handbook
During the time of inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there 14 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 14 of the 14 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. Counselor reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2024/2025 fiscal year. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed three personnel who did not finish their 40 hour DCF training. The director was given until April 7, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, SACCF Handbook Section 4.1 Beginning Training Child care personnel must begin training within 90 days of employment and successfully complete the Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframe begins at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. CCRC observed the Alarm in the vehicle 1 was working, although the Alarm was not audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. Once the driver turned the ignition off a loud sound went off inside the bus. The sound was loud but not audible from distance of 500 feet. TA: CCRC Discussed the Alarm requirements with the director. Both vehicles Alarms must be in working condition and audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle . All vehicles used by child care facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle.1. Approved alarm systems must meet the following criteria: a. The alarm system must be armed or activated automatically when the vehicles ignition is turned on. b. The alarm system must be designed and installed so that the vehicle horn, siren or other type of audio alarm will sound if the driver/staff member does not walk to the rear or, in the case of a passenger van, the side entry point of the vehicle, to manually shut off or deactivate the alarm. c. The time delay from the time the ignition is turned off after activation of the alarm system until the alarm sounds shall be no longer than one minute.d. The alarm must be audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle.e. The alarm system must be installed so that the driver must walk to the back of the vehicle to reach the deactivation mechanism. TA was provided: CCRC discussed fencing requirements with the Director. 3.5 Outdoor Play Area F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or openings larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. 07-06 · Vehicle Requirements SACCF Handbook
During the inspection, CCR observed that the program's vehicle was monitored at time of inspection. The installed vehicle alarm for bus 6506 was not in working condition in that it could not be heard from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. As corrective action, by the corrective action due date, the program is to get the vehicle alarm fixed so that the alarm sounds and you can hear it from 500 feet away. Licensing will then return to the program to monitor that the vehicle alarm is in proper working condition. During the inspection, CCR provided technical assistance, regarding the maintaining of the vehicle alarm. CCF Handbook, Section 2.5.4, F - F. By January 1, 2022 all vehicles used by childcare facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle. 1.
