22-01 · Individually Labeled Towels and Wash Cloths FDCH/LFCCH Handbook
During the inspection Licensing Specialist observed that the children were using a shared towel to dry hands in the restroom. Licensing Specialist offered technical assistance and advised the owner if the children are using towels, they needed to be individually labeled for each child to have their own or provide single use paper towels. The owner has replaced the towel with single use paper towels. According to FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.17 Each child shall have his own individually labeled towel or wash cloth. If disposable towels are used, they shall be discarded after each use. Individually labeled towels and wash cloths must be washed at least once a week and stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of diseases
