    23-02 · Fire Drills

    During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 3/12/2025. The fire inspection for this facility was dated 01/6/2025. (Non compliance) The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 08/2025. The facility did not have a current and approved annual fire safety inspection by the local fire authority. 3.8.2 Fire Safety A. Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. If the program is granted a fire inspection exemption by the local fire inspection office, the exemption must be documented and maintained on file at the program. 2.1 Health and Safety DCF health and safety requirements are outlined below by provider type: A. Licensed child care facilities must comply with Rules 65C-22.001, 65C-22.007, 65C-22.008, and 65C-22.010, F.A.C. B. License-exempt child care facilities must comply with Rule 65C-22.001(6), F.A.C., Child Care Facility Handbook (October 2021), and Rule 65C-22.010(1)(e)1., F.A.C., CF-FSP Form 5316, Child Care Facility Standards Classification Summary (October 2021) standards 232, 3545, 47, and sub-standards 1.4, 33.433.5, 33.7-33.10, 46.1-46.4, and 46.7. C. Licensed school-age child care facilities must comply with Rules 65C-22.008 and 22.010
