On July 2, 2025 The Licensing Specialist observed that the center Director's credential expired June 9, 2025. This was resolved on July 9, 2025 when the center informed the Licensing Specialist of a Change of Director. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: Section 402.305(2)(g), F.S., requires a child care facility to have a credentialed director. Every applicant for a license to operate a child care facility or a license for a change of ownership of a child care facility must document that the facility director has an active Director Credential prior to issuance of the license. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the sink in room 121 needing to be re-caulked, as it is detaching from the surrounding area around the sink has peeling paint/exposed drywall and exposed corner beading that need to be repaired/repainted. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance "A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months."

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that cleaning supplies were being stored in unlocked areas that are accessible to the children that are in care; nurses station door left open with not staff -under the examination table were plastic bags and Clorox wipes, unlocked staff bathroom can of air freshener being stored on the grab bar, 2 Tide To Go pens where stored in an unlocked drawer one of the classrooms, in a classroom unlocked lower cabinet shelf -7 cans of Barbarsol shaving cream and in 3 of the other classrooms Clorox wipes were being stored on the counter tops that were accessible to three and four year olds. During the time of the inspection, the Operator relocated these items out of reach of children, therefore this is being marked as Resolved. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: per the CCF Handbook "B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times."

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the children's linens were not being stored in a sanitary manner. The napping mats and the napping cots were being stored in the hallways stacked on top of one another with the linens touching each other (cross contamination). During the inspection, the Director advised that the linens have always been stored in this manner and that the linens are laundered once a week. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance "G. Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child. H. Bedding and linens shall not be stored in the bathroom, unless stored in cabinets."

20-08 · Crib Requirements
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an infant to be sleeping in a sleep sack that restricted the infant's arms. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "B. When napping or sleeping, young infants who are not able to roll over must be positioned on their backs and on a firm surface to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, unless an alternate position is authorized by a physician. Sleep sacks that fit according to manufacturers recommendations, do not restrict the infants arms, and will not slide up around the infants face may be used for the comfort of the sleeping infant; however, swaddling shall not be used unless authorized in writing by the childs physician. Written documentation of a physicians authorization must be on file at the facility. Documentation must include the childs name, childs date of birth, description of sleep position required, instructions for the use of any equipment needed, and length of time authorization is valid."

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that one of the fire exits was being blocked by a retractable mesh gate on one side of the hallway and closer to the exit doors the exit was being blocked by 2 cribs and an art drying rack. During the time of the inspection, the Director advised that area was designed to be blocked off in order to create an indoor play area for the children. The Director advised that the previous licensing authority had included as usable space for the children. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: per the CCF Handbook "The exits must be clearly marked, identifying the path to safety in case of an emergency, at all times during the operation of the child care facility. The Director advised that she is aware of the 1/2-inch requirement and even showed the licensing authority where the requirement was posted on the classroom fridge. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist offered technical assistance: per the CCF Handbook "B. If a child care facility provides food to children in care, it must provide nutritious meals and snacks of a quantity and quality to help meet the daily nutritional needs of the children. The USDA MyPlate is to be used to determine which food groups to serve at each meal or snack serving size and age appropriateness of the selected foods for children. Copies of the USDA MyPlate dieting guidelines, incorporated by reference in 65C- 22.001(7)(t), F.A.C. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a teacher to not properly wash her hands after diaper changing. During the time of the inspection, the teacher washed her hands again using proper handwashing, therefore this is being marked as Resolved. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance "3.10.1 Handwashing Child care personnel and children must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and running water, dry, and follow personal hygiene procedures for themselves and while assisting others. Examples of activities when handwashing is required include but are not limited to: before and after eating, immediately following outdoor play, after toileting, following the use of any cleaners or toxic chemicals, before and after administering medication, and during food preparation and snack distribution. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that one employee file, date of hire into the industry May 7, 2024, had no document of having begun the 40 Hour Introductory Training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry.
