During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the swimming pool water was clean/clear. During the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that the swimming pool is not utilized for the children that are in care. The barrier fence met the 4-foot height requirement however, the gaps in between the slats of the fencing were 3.75 inches apart. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the FDCH Handbook: A. All in-ground swimming pools and above-ground swimming pools more than one-foot deep shall have either a fence or barrier on all four sides, at a minimum of four feet in height, separating the home from the swimming pool, or a pool alarm that is operable at all times when children are in care. The fence or barrier shall not have any gaps or openings that would allow a young child to crawl under, squeeze through, or climb up the barrier."
