04-03 · Supervision
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed video footage of Child #1 leaving VPK B classroom while Teacher #1 was assisting a parent with signing out their child. Licensing Specialist saw Child #1 exit VPK B classroom while Teacher #1 had her back turned. Teacher #1 did not realize Child #1 was gone until several minutes after. Child #1 was located when the Director reached out to Parent #1 who had informed her that the child was dropped off home safely. CCF Handbook Section 2.4.1, B General Supervision Requirements B. Childcare personnel must be assigned to provide direct supervision to a specific group of children and be with that group of children at all times. Children must never be left without childcare personnel supervision inside or outside the facility, in a vehicle, or at a field trip location

17-06 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a gap in the fence that children could exit from, also observed an unlock gate leading to AC units. CCF Handbook, 3.5 Outdoor Play Area A. The outdoor play area must be clean and free from litter, nails, glass and other hazards. F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. However, if outdoor play area fencing is changed then the standard would apply, and two exits must be provided. This standard was brought back into compliance

During time of inspection childcare regulations observed expired medications in an area where they store all of their current medications for the facility. These medications are stored in the main office and separated into bins by classroom. Childcare personnel removed medications and put into her personal office for parent pick up today

During time of inspection childcare regulations observed a large square wooden sandbox on the main playground. Sandbox has nails exposed, wood that is splintering and broken. Childcare personnel advised that this sandbox was scheduled to be removed on Monday 7/17/2021
