During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the smoke detector in the playroom for the children was not working. The fire extinguisher has a current certificate valid until 3/27 and a working corded phone. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed the bathroom ceiling wall to have some black spots over the shower that look like mold, the shower to have black spots on the shower wall and in the tile of the shower, the ceiling vent the be covered in dust and tile missing around the toilet. The provider was given extra time to repair these items. Per the DCF Handbook All parts of the home, both indoors and outdoors; including the furnishings, equipment, toys and plumbing shall be kept clean, and sanitary, free from hazards, in an orderly condition and in good repair at all times. Provider should monitor the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recommendations for use of equipment
