During the inspection counselor observed in the VPK classroom there were 17 children, but the classroom capacity was 13. Technical Assistance provided, the director moved half of the children to another classroom, which brought the standard into compliance at time of inspection. A. A childcare that had a valid license on October 1, 1992, must have a minimum of 20 square feet of usable indoor floor space for each child. This provision is not affected by a change of ownership as long as the program remains continuously licensed at the original site.
