During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a low cabinet in the VPK bathroom was unlocked and cracked open. The Licensing Specialist observed several wires and cables accessible to the children in care. During the time of the inspection, this was resolved by the Operator locking the cabinet with a key. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times."

17-06 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the exit gate in the outdoor play area had a gap on the bottom of 5 inches. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. However, if outdoor play area fencing is changed then the standard would apply, and two exits must be provided."

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed 1 child's immunization records were not current. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A -1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department. Specific immunization requirements are included and detailed in the most current edition of the Immunization Guidelines-Florida Schools, Child Care Facilities and Family Day Care Homes as promulgated by the Florida Department of Health."

During the time of the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there are currently 98 children enrolled. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 53 of the 98 childrens records. (2 and 3-year olds) During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed children's enrollment forms did not include the child's date of enrollment. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: The facility operator shall obtain enrollment information from the childs custodial parent or legal guardian prior to accepting a child in care. This information shall be documented on CF-FSP Form 5219, Child Care Application for Enrollment, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7) (f), F.A.C., or an equivalent form that contains all the information required by the Department on CF-FSP Form 5219. CF-FSP Form 5219 may be obtained from the licensing authority or on the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare."
