During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a hole behind each door, a hole towards the bottom of the wall and water damage to multiple ceiling tiles located in the three year old classroom. CCF Handbook, section 3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

23-02 · Fire Drills
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the facility did not have an approved Fire Inspection. The Fire Inspection had a violation for the fire alarm not being serviced. CCF Handbook, section 3.8.2 Fire Safety A. Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. 24-21 · Food Preparation Area
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed Orange Juice and Lemonade containers labeled perishable being stored in kitchen pantry. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist advised the Director that the juice should be stored in the refrigerator. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the Director discard all containers of juice. This violation was brought back into compliance during the time of the inspection. CCF Handbook, section 3.9.2 Food Storage Proper storage of food is essential to prevent food contamination, as well as, insect and rodent infestation. Correct handling and storage of all food is a key component in preventing food-borne illnesses. To prevent bacteria growth, cold food must be kept at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit and hot foods at or above 135 degrees Fahrenheit
