For children 5 years of age or older, there must be one child care personnel for every 25 children. 7. (b) This subsection does not apply to nonpublic schools and their integral programs as defined in s. 402.3025(2)(d)1. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that none of the classrooms has an inclement weather schedule posted. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: Each group or class must have a written and followed plan of scheduled activities posted in an easily seen location accessible to parents/guardians. The written plan must meet the needs of the children being served and must include alternate activities in case of bad weather. The written plan shall include a variety of activities that range from structured to unstructured activities that encourage a childs developmental growth."

During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the 1 and 2-year olds watching an animated TV show in the morning. During the time of the inspection, this was resolved by the Operator turning off the TV and handing children books to read together. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed tears in the table coverings in the 1 and 2-year old rooms. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed a rusted and jagged piece of metal in the 2-year old bathroom, under the sink around a spicket. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an area of the wall by the fire extinguisher in the Afterschool room was peeled off and in need of repair. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the light in the VPK bathroom was missing the cover and the light switch cover plate in the VPK room was cracked and had pieces broken off. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months."

13-03 · Toxic Substances, Hazardous Materials and Weapons
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an unlocked closet left a toolbox, Miricle Grow fertilizer, and a can of raid accessible to the children in care. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an unlocked laundry room in the VPK room left Gain detergent, 2 jugs of Fabuloso and other various cleaning supplies items accessible to the children in care. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an unlocked diaper changing cabinet in the infant room left diaper creams accessible to the children in care. During the time of the inspection this was all resolved by the Operator locked the closet and laundry room doors and putting a safety lock on the diaper changing cabinet in the infant room. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times."

17-05 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the fencing in the smaller outdoor play area by the parking lot was only 3 feet and 5 1/2 inches tall. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, per the CCF Handbook: F. The outdoor play area must have adequate fencing or walls a minimum of 4 feet in height. Fencing, including gates, must be continuous and must not have gaps or opening larger than 3 inches that would allow children to exit the outdoor play area. The base of the fence must remain at ground level and be free from erosion or buildup to prevent inside and outside access by children or animals. These areas must have at least two exits, with at least one being remote from the buildings. If an outdoor play area was approved for usage by the Department prior to October 25, 2017, no new exits are required to be added to meet this standard. However, if outdoor play area fencing is changed then the standard would apply, and two exits must be provided."

Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. During the time of the inspection the licensing specialist observed raw salmon stored on top of fresh tomatoes in the refrigerator. Which is unsanitary. The food was removed and stored correctly at the time of the inspection. 40-01 · Medication
During the time of the inspection the licensing specialist monitored that diaper cream is dispensed without written authorization from custodial parent or legal guardian. According to the DCF Facility handbook, 6.5 Medication Child care programs are not required to give medication; however, if a program chooses to do so, it must comply with the following requirements: A. The child care program must have written authorization from the custodial parent or legal guardian to give prescription and non- prescription medications. This authorization must be dated and signed by the custodial parent or legal guardian and contain the childs name; the name of the medication to be given; and date, time and amount of the correct dosage to be given. Prescription and non- prescription medications that are used on an as needed basis require the parent/ legal guardian to provide additional documentation on the authorization form to describe symptoms that would require the medication to be given. The child care provider must never administer a medication that is prescribed for one child to another child
