During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed the facility did not have electrical outlet covers in place in the 3-year-old classroom. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "All accessible electrical outlets must be tamper- resistant electrical outlets that contain internal shutter mechanisms to prevent children from sticking objects into receptacles. In settings that do not have tamper-resistant electrical outlets, outlets shall have safety covers."

During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed hand sanitizer on the table by the front door accessible to children. Also, by the bathroom there were plastic bags stored in an open box accessible to children in the 4-year-old classroom. During the inspection the teacher removed the hand sanitizer and plastic bags and placed out of reach of children. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times."

During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an infant was placed in a playpen for sleeping with stuffed animals that could pose a suffocation risk. During the inspection the teacher removed the stuffed animals from the playpen, During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, which includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions."

During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed diaper cream was stored in the diaper changing table accessible to children in the Infant classroom and stored in the bathroom on the floor in the 3-year-old classroom. During the inspection the teacher removed the diaper creams from the changing table and off the bathroom floor and placed out of reach of the children. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "All medication must have child resistant caps, if applicable, and must either be stored in a locked area or must be out of any childs reach. If medication is stored in the food preparation area, it must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or medication."

During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed there was no Volunteer Acknowledgement form on file for 1 volunteer. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "Prior to beginning volunteering in a child care facility, a CF-FSP 5217, Volunteer Acknowledgment which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(e), F.A.C., and may be obtained from the Departments website www.myflfamilies.com/childcare, must be completed and on file at the child care facility for the volunteer. Written documentation of volunteer hours must be maintained at the facility for a minimum of 12 months and available for review by the licensing authority." 33-13 · Training Requirements
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed an employee had not completed their full 45 DCF Hours. The Employee completed the wrong set of 10 Hour courses. The Director advised that they thought that the employee was complete with their 45 hours since they had completed 10 hours on part two, but they did not realize that a specific set of courses had to be completed to be considered complete. According to the DCF CCF Handbook 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Child care personnel who successfully completed the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training prior to January 1, 2004 are not required to fulfill the competency examination requirement. A. Part I Courses (30 Hours) Child care personnel must complete all of the following: - Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations - Health, Safety and Nutrition - Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect - Child Growth and Development - Behavioral Observation and Screening B. Part II Courses (10 Hours) Child care personnel must also complete 10 hours of the following Part II courses: - Special Needs Appropriate Practices (10 hours), or - Understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices (5 hours) and one of the following courses: 1.
