During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the Drivers of all 3 vans used to transport children did not mark the children on and off the vehicle until after they were in the facility. This was corrected at the time of the inspection as all 3 van drivers updated each vehicle log. Per the DCF Handbook A. A log must be maintained for all children being transported in the vehicle or on foot away from and/or to the premises of the child care facility. The log must be retained on file at the facility for a minimum of 12 months and available for review by the licensing authority. The log must include: 1. Each childs name, 2. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the white hallway door is missing a doorknob. Per the DCF Handbook All school-age program facilities must be clean, in good repair, and free from health and safety hazards and vermin. During the hours that the program is in operation, no portion of the building can be used for any activity that presents a risk to the health and safety of the children. Indoor and outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed the facility does not have a valid Fire Inspection. The Fire inspection expired on 2/13/25. Per the DCF Handbook Unless statutorily exempted, all school-age child care programs must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Fire Safety Standards for Nonresidential Child Care Facilities, and must be inspected annually. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the Fire Extinguishers located on Van B and Van C were not the correct extinguishers needed to transport children. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed 3 Staff that have not completed the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training. Per the DCF Handbook 4.2.1 Mandated Introductory Training Child care personnel, including volunteers that work 10 hours or more per month, must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better.
