Licensing Specialist observed blankets and sheets stored on the diaper changing area, blankets and sheets were inside Ziplock bags. Provider thought that it is ok to store the blanket and sheets on the diaper changing area as they were in Ziplock bags. TA was provided: Licensing Specialist discussed requirement with the provider, provider removed the blanket and sheets immediately and stored them in a different area away from the diaper changing area, thus returning this standard into compliance at the time of this inspection. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.18 Diapering Area Cleanliness/Sanitization When children in diapers are in care, there shall be a diaper changing area with an impermeable surface that is cleaned and sanitized or disinfected after each use. A. The diaper changing area shall be located separate from the food preparation, food service and feeding area. B. Items unrelated to diaper changing shall not be stored in the diaper changing area nor shall they be placed on the diaper changing table

License Specialist observed 2 dead Roaches in the bathroom cabinet under the sink, owner informed license specialist the the childcare was treated for pest control over the weekend. TA was provided: Owner cleaned the cabinet under the sink and removed dead Roaches, no evidence of alive roaches were found, thus returning this standard into compliance at the time of this inspection. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.9 Vermin/Pest Control Rodents and vermin must be exterminated. Pest control shall not take place while rooms are occupied by children. A home must adopt an integrated pest management program to ensure long-term, environmentally sound pest suppression through a range of practices including pest exclusion, sanitation and clutter control, and elimination of conditions that are conducive to pest infestations
