12-01 · Facility Environment
During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the kitchen was in use during lunch time, the kitchen was unclean, there was built up sticky scum on the counter tops, walls and floor area surrounding the refrigerators. There was also built-up residue from prior meal preparations inside all the cooking appliances. One of the tiles surrounding the air vent located above the refrigerator was full of dust and protruding outward, furthermore the ceiling tile was not properly set and was bowed downwards. The wall light switch was cracked and dirty. During the inspection the Director and Owner advised Licensing that a deep cleaning will be conducted over the weekend beginning April 5, 2025. During the inspection, technical assistance was provided: "All childcare facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months."

20-06 · Crib Requirements
During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed two infants that were sleeping in their cribs, one had a pacifier with an attached stuffed animal and the other with an attached lanyard clip. During the time of the inspection, staff removed the two aforementioned pacifiers, therefore this was resolved. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, which includes but is not limited to : bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions."

During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that they are currently 72 children enrolled. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the most current special food restriction list was dated January 21, 2025, and was posted in every classroom throughout the building and a copy of the list was in the kitchen cabinet. The Director advised the Licensing Specialist that she had only been employed there for three weeks and has not had the opportunity to update the special food restrictions list and to share with staff. During the time of inspections, Licensing monitored 72 of the children records and found that 11 of the children's records that had documentation of the children having special food restrictions were not included on the facility's special food restrictions list. During the time inspection, the Director updated the special food restriction list and provided copies for all of the classrooms and kitchen, therefore this is resolved. During the time of inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance: "If a special diet is required for a child by a physician, a copy of the physicians order, a copy of the diet, and a sample meal plan for the special diet must be maintained in the childs file and followed. If the custodial parent or legal guardian notifies the program of any known food allergies, written documentation must be maintained in the childs file for as long as the child is in care. Special food restrictions must be shared with childcare personnel posted in an easily seen location that is not readily visible by parents or nonchild care personnel and followed."
