23-02 · Diapering Area Clean and Sanitized FDCH/LFCCH Handbook

During the time of the inspection the Child Care Licensing Specialist observed to have 2 dirty diapers on the changing table and the changing mat had food dropping on it. This was completed at the time of the inspection as the provider put the 2 diapers in the trash then cleaned and sanitized the changing table mat. Technical Assistance was provided by the Child Care Licensing Specialist. 7.18 Diapering Area Cleanliness/Sanitization When children in diapers are in care, there shall be a diaper changing area with an impermeable surface that is cleaned and sanitized or disinfected after each use. A. The diaper changing area shall be located separate from the food preparation, food service and feeding area. B. Items unrelated to diaper changing shall not be stored in the diaper changing area nor shall they be placed on the diaper changing table
