CCRC observed an expired medication ( Epinephrine 0.15 MG Auto Injection) Medication expired on 11/2022 medication had proper label with the child info and medication authorization form signed and dated by parent on 6/6/2022. TA: was provided: Owner removed the expired Medication, contacted parent to inform them. Parent are to drop off an up to date Medication and pick up the expired one, this returning this standard into compliance. 6.5 Medication H. Medication that has expired or that is no longer being dispensed must be returned to the custodial parent or legal guardian or discarded

CCRC observed that the alarm is working, although it was not audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. TA was Provided: CCRC Provided a copy of the handbook and discussed the alarm requirements with the owner. Owner confirmed understanding of the requirement. Facility was given 30 days to bring this standard into compliance. 2.5.4 Vehicle Requirements For the purpose of this section, vehicles refer to those owned, operated or regularly used by the child care program, and vehicles that provide transportation through a contract or agreement with an outside entity. Parents/guardians personal vehicles used for transporting during field trips are excluded from meeting the requirements of this sub-section. A. All vehicles regularly used to transport children must be inspected annually by a mechanic to ensure that they are in proper working order. Documentation by the mechanic must be maintained in the vehicle. B. The maximum number of individuals transported in a vehicle may not exceed the manufacturers designated seating capacity or the number of factory installed seat belts. C. When transporting children, staff-to-child ratios must be maintained at all times. The driver may be included in the staff-to-child ratio if he or she meets screening and training requirements. D. All child care facilities must comply with the insurance requirements found in Section 316.615(4), F.S. Documentation shall be maintained at the facility. E. The interior of vehicles, when being used to transport children, must be maintained at a temperature comfortable to children (between 65- and 82- degrees Fahrenheit). The vehicle can be ventilated either by mechanical or natural means to maintain the temperature. F. By January 1, 2022 all vehicles used by child care facilities to transport children must be equipped with a reliable alarm system approved by the Department which prompts the driver to inspect the vehicle for children before exiting the vehicle. 1. Approved alarm systems must meet the following criteria: a. The alarm system must be armed or activated automatically when the vehicles ignition is turned on. b. The alarm system must be designed and installed so that the vehicle horn, siren or other type of audio alarm will sound if the driver/staff member does not walk to the rear or, in the case of a passenger van, the side entry point of the vehicle, to manually shut off or deactivate the alarm. c. The time delay from the time the ignition is turned off after activation of the alarm system until the alarm sounds shall be no longer than one minute. d. The alarm must be audible from the distance of 500 feet from the vehicle. e. The alarm system must be installed so that the driver must walk to the back of the vehicle to reach the deactivation mechanism. Deactivation mechanisms installed in locations that do not require the driver to walk to the back of the vehicle and view all seating areas will not be acceptable

CCRC observed a Clorox wipes container in the VPK class room and a Lysol toilet cleaner on the sink in the same VPK classroom, there were 12 children and one teacher in that room. TA was provided: teacher removed both containers and put them on a higher shelf, not accessible to children. 3.2 Toxic/Hazardous Material/Firearms/Weapons B. All potentially harmful items, including cleaning supplies, flammable products, poisonous, toxic, and hazardous materials, must be labeled and used according to manufacturers recommendation. These items, as well as knives, sharp tools, and other potentially dangerous hazards, must be stored in a locked area or must be inaccessible and out of a childs reach at all times

17-01 · Outdoor Play Area/Fencing
CCRC observed the resilient ground cover in the toddlers and the 3-4 playgrounds had wholes and cracks. Wholes varies with the size and depth. These whole are trip hazards. CCRC observed that one crack is a foot long, the cover was lifting up. CCRC observed that the area underneath the crack was filled with foam sealant, The crack was easy to open exposing the sealant. TA was Provided: Owner inform CCRC that the are aware of this issue and they working to solve these problem. Provider is given 30 days to bring this standard into compliance. 3.5 Outdoor Play Area A. The outdoor play area must be clean and free from litter, nails, glass and other hazards
