Licensing Specialist observed that the home's first aid kit did not include: soap and hand sanitizer, disposable non-porous gloves, thermometer, tweezers, cotton balls or applicators, pre-moistened wipes, scissors, bottled water, a current First Aid & CPR resource guide. FDCH/LFCCH Handbook, Section 7.19 First Aid Kit Minimum Requirements A. At least one first aid kit must be maintained on the premises at all times. The kit(s) must be accessible to the child care personnel at all times and kept out of the reach of children. If the first aid kit is stored in the food preparation area, it must be stored in a manner to prevent contamination of food, food contact surfaces, or first aid supplies. First aid kits or supplies must be restocked after each use. B. A first aid kit must be accessible and available to childcare personnel when children are participating on field trips, during transporting, and other activities away from the facility. C. Each kit must be kept in a closed container and labeled First Aid and must, at a minimum, include: 1.
