    23-06 · Fire Drills

    During the inspection, the facility had documentation of having an approved fire inspection completed on 6/13/2023. CCRC observed the fire drill for the month of June 2023 was not documented. Director informed CCRC that the drill was conducted and they forgot to document it. Technical assistant was provided, Director conducted a fire drill with the presence of CCRC, 36 children, 6 staff and it took 2 minuets to clear the building, thus returning this standard into compliance at the time of this inspection. 3.8.4 Fire Drills A. During the facilitys license year, fire drills utilizing the alarm system, approved by the local fire authority, must be conducted monthly at various dates and times when children are in care. B. When the facilitys approved fire alarm alert system is activated or initiated, all adults and children must evacuate the facility. C. A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, 2. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times, and 3. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority. This drill will be coordinated with the operator or designee

    CCRC observed snacks, baby food containers, baby bottles, cups, plates and spoons stored in the diaper changing table in Room 206. Technical assistant was provided: Teacher and Director removed all mentioned items. Thus returning this standard into compliance at the time of this inspection. 3.10.2 Diapering Requirements G. Items unrelated to diaper changing shall not be stored in the diaper changing area nor shall they be placed on the diaper changing table
