    17-01 · Technical assistance was provided: The infant playground must be treated within the given due date. CCRC will return to reinspect this area by or after the due date. CCRC observed multiple broken bikes, a broken pink and white Little Likes play Kitchen and broken plastic and metal picnic bench in the three and four-year-old play ground located by the main entrance. Technical assistance was provided: Staff removed and discarded all broken and hazards items at the time of this inspection. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, A Outdoor Play Area A. The outdoor play area must be clean and free from litter, nails, glass and other hazards

    CCRC observed multiple ant nests in the infant playground between the turf and the fence and also between the turf and the daycare wall. Director informed CCRC that they are not using the playground for the infant

    24-18 · Food Preparation Area

    CCRC observed 3 Galloons of milk stored in fridge, one was expired on 8/11/2023 and the other two were expired on 8/3/2023 none of these galloons were labeled with the date were opened. CCRC observed the menu for 8/14/2023 through 8/18/2023 the breakfast on the menu was showing: Corn Flakes, Halo Oranges and Milk. CCRC asked the teacher about what was served for breakfast that day and the teacher confirmed that the breakfast was as listed on the menu. CCRC did not observe breakfast and can not confirm if the expired milk was served to children that morning. Technical Assistance was provided: Director discarded all three milk gallons, Thus returning this standard into compliance at the time of this inspection. 3.9.2 Food Storage Proper storage of food is essential to prevent food contamination, as well as, insect and rodent infestation. Correct handling and storage of all food is a key component in preventing food-borne illnesses. To prevent bacteria growth, cold food must be kept at or below 41 degrees Fahrenheit and hot foods at or above 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Facilities choosing to prepare food must have a designated space for food storage within the designated food preparation area or in a room not calculated as part of indoor floor space, and in an area not used for diapering. Off-site food storage is permissible only if the site of storage is a licensed child care facility under the same ownership that includes a food preparation area that meets licensing standards. B. Stored food must be consumed or discarded on or before the expiration dates listed by the manufacturer
