04-04 · Technical assistance: Para advised not to leave children unsupervised at any time

Upon arrival at the facility, I was escorted by the registrar to the VPK classroom. At that time, I observed a paraprofessional exit the classroom with a little boy crying and left the little young boy alone outside the classroom door on the patio. I remained in place to ensure the child was supervised, noting that the classroom door remained closed. This was corrected at the time of inspection. I waited until the paraprofessional returned outside with the other children and joined the child who had been left unsupervised
