3.1 General Health and Safety Requirements G. Cleaning must not take place while rooms are occupied by children except for general clean-up activities that are part of the daily routine. General cleaning refers to cleaning necessary to maintain a sanitary environment but that does not pose a hazard to children, such as wiping the table after lunch, soaking toys in a tub on the countertop, or sweeping. This does not include cleaning with hazardous materials or any cleaning which poses a risk of slipping or falling. I observed a staff member spraying Lysol on the empty cots of the departed children, while the other children were present and asleep. Corrected at time of inspection, I advised staff members to immediately stop spraying the Lysol spray then I explained why this should not be done around the children, they advised they will not spray cleaning agents around the children anymore
