Staff listed on Supplemental did not complete literacy within 12 months of industry start. Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all child care personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the child care industry. Proof of completion may be documented on a certificate of course completion, classroom transcript, or diploma. Child care personnel must complete one of the following: A. 8/28/23 inspection: Licensing counselor observed several cracks and lifted tiles in the walkway in front of the infant room and in the kitchen. 10/9/23 visit: There was a rug covering the cracked/lifted tiles in the hallway in front of the infant room. This is still a tripping hazard. The small cracks in the kitchen are still present. 8/28/23 inspection- There is also an area on the cabinet wall (to the left of the oven) near the one year old classroom that has water damage. 10/9/23 visit- Corrected: The area now has a plastic baseboard piece covering the bottom of the cabinet

20-06 · Crib Requirements
Licensing counselor observed an infant in a crib with a stuffed animal. There was also a mobile clipped on the side of the crib. Stuffed animal and mobile removed from crib. All personnel that care for infants must follow safe sleep practices as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as referenced in Caring for Our Children Basics Health and Safety Foundations for Early Care and Education, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(v), F.A.C. Cribs or playpens/play yards used for infants must have tight fitted sheets and no excess bedding, which includes but is not limited to: bumper pads, hanging mobiles, quilts, comforters, receiving blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and cushions
