12-2: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed some areas of the program that was not in good repair, in that there were two pencil sharpeners that were missing the cover, metal shelves that were not fully attached and desks that were not level in the classroom, 1 toilet that was non-operational in the girls bathroom and 1 toilet that had the seat not fully attached in the girls bathroom. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, All school-age program facilities must be clean, in good repair, and free from health and safety hazards and vermin. During the hours that the program is in operation, no portion of the building can be used for any activity that presents a risk to the health and safety of the children. Indoor and outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation must be maintained for 12 months
