During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the facility did not have a current annual inspection for the bus vehicle that is used to transport the children while in care at the facility. Per the DCF Handbook All vehicles regularly used to transport children must be inspected annually by a mechanic to ensure that they are in proper working order. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed 7 sippy cups in the toddler classroom on the cubby shelf that were not labeled with the children's first and last names. During the time of the inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that 1 staff member has not completed the Safe Sleep Training within the 30 days of employment. Per the DCF Handbook 4.2.3 Safe Sleep/ Shaken Baby Syndrome Training All child care personnel who work in a facility that offers care to infants must have training regarding guidance on safe sleep practices, preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; recognition of signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; strategies for coping with crying, fussing, or distraught child and the development and vulnerabilities of the brain in infancy in early childhood within 30 days of hire at the facility. For child care personnel to satisfy this requirement the training must be accomplished through one of following methods: Department's Health Safety and Nutrition course, Safe Sleep course, or the Early Learning Floridas Safe Sleep Practices. During the time of the inspection the Child Care Specialist observed that the preschool playground had a clogged crate drain with water, leaves, and minnows swimming in the water. During the time of the inspection the Child Care Specialist observed that the large white standup freezer and the freezer at the top of the white refrigerator did not have a thermometer in either one of them. During the time of the inspection the Child Care Specialist observed that the driver does not have documented proof of the transportation training on safe transportation practices. Technical Assistance was provided by the Child Care Licensing Specialist. According to the DCF Facility Handbook. 4.2.6 Transportation Training All child care personnel participating in the transportation of children must have training regarding guidance on safe transportation practices prior to participating in transportation of children. For child care personnel to satisfy this requirement the training must be accomplished through the Departments Transportation Safety course or the Early Learning Floridas Precautions in Transporting Children course. During the time of the inspection the Child Care specialist reviewed 4 files that did not include documentation of level 2 clearinghouse screening clearance. This was corrected at the time of the inspection as the Child Care Specialist looked up all 4 staff in the Clearinghouse System for the documentation of the screening clearance. 1 staff was not in the Clearinghouse system. This employee was not left alone with the children, another teacher was working in the classroom with her. This employee had left the facility for the day. The director stated that she will contact Kindercare HR to find out about her screening. The director stated that the staff member will not return to the facility until that staff has a Level 2 Clearinghouse screening clearance. Technical Assistance was provided by the Child Care Licensing Specialist. According to the DCF handbook: C.
