During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the patio area was under construction by the Operators husband. He stated that they were enclosing the patio to create an additional room. The Licensing Specialist informed him that construction work may not be conducted during operational hours or while children are present on site. During the inspection, this has been resolved. The husband stopped the construction immediately after being reminded by the Licensing Specialist. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that a section of the fence in the outdoor play area was broken. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed two broken toys in the outdoor play area. During the inspection, this has been resolved during the inspection, as the two broken toys were removed from the outdoor play area. During the inspection, the Operator informed the Licensing Specialist that the sand area with the swing and slide equipment is currently not in use. This area has been separated from the turf area with a plastic fence to prevent children in care from accessing the sand area. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided Technical Assistance (TA) per FDCH Handbook 7.6 Outdoor Time, Fencing and Play Area Requirements A. Outdoor Play areas shall be clean, in good repair and free from litter, nails, glass, and other hazards
