12-02 · Facility Environment
• During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed classroom 602 paint was peeling by the window, the trim was coming off the wall and the wall divider in the library center was ripped and exposing the foam. In classroom 604 there is a hole the size of a nickel in the wall by the window. In classroom 605 the paint is peeling on the right side of the window by the trim. The director was given until November 28, 2024, to come into compliance with this standard. • During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months

During the inspection licensing counselor observed multiple classrooms where the cots were not spaced apart 18" or more. Staff in the classrooms adjusted the cots to be space apart at the time of inspection bringing this standard back into compliance. • During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.6.2, C Nap/Sleep Space, C. A minimum of 18 inches must be maintained around individual napping and sleeping spaces. A maximum of two sides of a napping or sleeping space may be against a solid barrier, such as the wall. At the time of inspection licensing specialist observed staff changing diaper and not washing hands afterward. Be sure to wash your hands after each diaper change. TA Childcare personnel and children must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and running water, dry, and follow personal hygiene procedures for themselves and while assisting others.
