During the renewal inspection the licensing specialist observed that the vehicle alarm system was not working. According to the DCF CCF Handbook Section 2.5.4 4. Alarm systems installed according to the manufacturers instructions prior to October 1, 2021, will be deemed to satisfy this requirement if they meet the criteria set forth in 2.5.4.F.1. above. Under this allowance, the existing alarm system must always be properly maintained in working order. During the renewal inspection the licensing specialist observed that there were different areas in the facility that they need to repair. Licensing specialist observed stains ceiling in multiple classrooms, and floors that they need to repair. Licensing specialist observed a toilet cover that need to be changed. According to the DCF CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A A) All childcare facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. B. It is the responsibility of the director/operator to ensure all areas and equipment of the facility are free from fire hazards, such as lint build up in heating and air vents, filters, exhaust fans, ceiling fans, and dryer vents. This includes grease build-up in ovens, stoves and food equipment
