During the time of the compliant inspection the Licensing Specialist observed that the incident report was not signed the same day the incident happened. According to the DCF Handbook Section 6.4, B.C Accident/Incident Notification B. This documentation must be shared with the custodial parent or legal guardian on the date of occurrence. C. Documentation must include the name of the affected party, date and time of the occurrence, description of the occurrence, actions taken and by whom, and appropriate signatures of program child care personnel and the custodial parent or legal guardian. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist watched the footage for the incident that occurred on 4/16/24. The licensing Specialist observed that the teacher failed to position herself to have visual sight of all children in care. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.1 General Supervision Requirements A. Child care personnel must position themselves in the outdoor play area so that all children can be observed and directly supervised

25-13 · Meals and Snacks
During the snack time the child was given a biscuit made out of milk. The child is allergic to dairy food. After the teacher noticed, she immediately removed the biscuit and gave the child an alternate dairy free snack. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 3.9.3, G 3.9.3 Food Safety G. If a special diet is required for a child by a physician, a copy of the physicians order, a copy of the diet, and a sample meal plan for the special diet must be maintained in the childs file and followed. If the custodial parent or legal guardian notifies the program of any known food allergies, written documentation must be maintained in the childs file for as long as the child is in care. Special food restrictions must be shared with child care personnel posted in an easily seen location that is not readily visible by parents or non-child care personnel and followed
