On 4/18/25 a complaint was received alleging that a teacher mishandled a child. The incident was also self-reported to CCLE on 4/17/25 by the provider. The facility administrator (A. Wilson) was interviewed and stated the following: On 4/16/25 he received a text message from a mother expressing some concerns about why her two-year-old daughter was upset at pick up. Diaz). After further inquiries, including with the teacher involved, he terminated her employment. Mr. Wilson notified CCLE and then reported the incident to the Child Abuse Hotline. Provider self reported on 1/22/2024 that on 1/9/2024 a teacher in the toddler class intervened with a child after he had bitten another child. The teacher pulled the child roughly away causing scratch marks to the child's face. It is not believed the teacher deliberately intended to scratch the child, but her actions were overly rough and unprofessional. The teacher has never physically harmed a child before; however, her employment was terminated. No other details provided. A complaint inspection was conducted on 1/24/2024 and a statement from the owner (AW) was received. Video footage of alleged incident was also reviewed for compliance. Per Mr. AW, he noticed the marks on the child's face when the teacher took him to the office while she went to use the restroom. Mr, AW was concerned and asked what happened and teacher alleged she didn't know. He proceeded to review the footage and saw the teacher grad the child's face leaving the finger marks /nail marks on his face. The teacher was terminated and the parents were informed of the incident. Per the video observed, the teacher grabbed the child by one arm and placed her other hand over his face with force. The child was not observed biting another child when the teacher grabbed his face causing the scratch marks. This complaint is Substantiated and a non-compliance is being issued for not following the discipline policies
