Upon arriving to the toddler classroom, two staff members were observed supervising ten (10) children. The instructors were asked about the children's age, and they stated that they all turned one. However, when the children's files from this classroom were revised, it was observed that one child was still an infant. The following staff to child ratios were observed during today's inspection: Infants 2: 8 Infants/Ones 2:10 (classroom out of ratio) Twos 1:11 Twos/Threes/Fours 1:15 A class 1(one) violation is being issued for noncompliance with ratio requirements. During the course of a complaint inspection, the following was observed; One staff member (J) was observed with 11 one year old children in the classroom. The correct ratio for this age range of children should have been 1 staff to 6 children. Therefore a notice of violation will be issued for Out of Ratio. To come into compliance, the director returned from a meeting approximately 20 minutes later stating 2 staff had left the building for lunch, and she was unaware of the situation. A teacher returned moments later, and the director referred her to the ones room. The NOV occurred on 02/24/2023. The NOV was issued on 02/28/2023. The section number cited in the inspection report is incorrect. The facility is being issued a Notice of Violation for violating Chapter 402.305(4)(a), Florida Statutes

A complaint alleges that on 2/22/23, a child was sitting in the doorway of the facility for 45 minutes when the mother came to pick up the child. An on-site investigation was conducted on 2/24/23. An interview was conducted with the acting Director (LJ). The acting Director stated that the child was removed from the class for hitting the teacher (KP) and the parent was called to pick up. The acting director (LJ) stated she stayed with the child until the mother arrived. This complaint is unsubstantiated. During the course of a complaint inspection, the following was observed; Zero (0) staff members was observed in the 3y/o room with 14 children. The VPK teacher (K) was assigned to supervise two classrooms (VPK and Three y/o class). The acting Director at the time was not in the building. TA was provided that direct supervision means watching and directing the childrens activities within close proximity within the same room inside or within a designated outdoor play area and responding to each childs needs. To come into compliance, a teacher from another classroom went into the classroom approximately 10 minutes later. The NOV occurred on 02/24/2023. The NOV was issued on 02/28/2023
