32-07 · Outdoor Equipment
Noncompliance: During the time of inspection, Childcare Regulation observed that the permanent/stationary climbing equipment, swings, climbing dome, slides, blue tire, spring-loaded plane, and monkey bars did not meet the six-inch depth (six foot out of perimeter) resilience surface requirements. During the inspection, Childcare Regulation observed that mulch measured from 0-3 inches in depth and in some areas, Childcare Regulation was able to observe the hard surface and grass. During the time of the inspection, the owner of the facility advised that he would need extended time to come into compliance with this licensing standard due to the financial impact of obtaining materials and labor to meet the licensing standards. 32-3 Compliance: During the time of the inspection, Child Care Regulation observed that the once yellow slide with the black deck with sharp metal edges had been repaired and repainted, that the previously rusted red and yellow slide had been resurfaced/painted, that the protruding areas of the airplane had been covered over with deep mulch around the base of the plane, and that the little tike type movable toys that had several disconnected pieces had been removed from the outdoor play area
