Childcare personnel in the two-year-old classroom left children alone in the classroom. Childcare personnel returned to the classroom to resume supervision duties during the licensing counselors walk thru of the childcare facility. The Provider will ensure childcare personnel are present at all times to supervise and maintain ratio requirements. Per School Readiness Handbook: Supervision Direct supervision means actively watching and directing childrens activities within the same room or designated outdoor play area and responding to the needs of each child. PER DCF HANDBOOK: By June 30, 2024, all current SR childcare personnel must complete two new health and safety courses: Health and Nutrition in the School Readiness Program and Safety Practices in the School Readiness Program. These courses are free to the learner and will be hosted in the Florida Early Childhood Professional Development Registry. All accessible electrical outlets must be tamper-resistant electrical outlets that contain internal shutter mechanisms to prevent children from sticking objects into receptacles. A childcare facility must make available toys, equipment, and furnishings suitable to each childs age and development and of a quantity for each to be involved in activities. B. Toys, equipment, and furnishings must be safe and maintained in a sanitary condition following a routine schedule of cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting. These items must be cleaned and sanitized or disinfected immediately or prior to another childs use if exposed to bodily fluids, such as saliva. Staff In-service monitored. Three employees did not have their full ten hours. PER DCF HANDBOOK: 4.5 Documentation of Training. A copy of the training transcript must be included in each childcare personnels record maintained at the childcare facility. C. Early literacy courses and school-age training documentation must be uploaded into the Florida Pathways (Registry), which may be accessed from the Departments website at www.myflfamilies.com/childcare. D. Any course completion certificate not documented on the training transcript will be considered invalid, requiring that the course(s) be retaken. Until the coursework is retaken and completed, childcare facilities will be out of compliance for the mandatory training. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Owner will email counselor with updated in-service form that includes the certificates that coincidences with the course on the in-service sheet or the teacher's updated transcript.
