After viewing video of incident and staff (Y.R.L.) acknowledging improper physical contact this constitutes a violation. During nap time at daycare, (L.H.) was in his bed playing a small piano. The teacher (Y.R.L.) told him to be quiet because the other children were sleeping. (L.H.) was not quiet, and the teacher (Y.R.L.) forcibly grabbed his arm and moved him and his bed aggressively switching places with another child. Violation: Palm Beach County FDOH Rules and Regulations Article IX.C.4. Technical Assistance was provided to staff (Y.R.L.) to use proper redirection methods for unwanted behaviors and never to use physical contact for this purpose. Facility Director (Y.F.) had meeting with staff (Y.R.L.) who was suspended for one week, went through retraining, and was reinstructed on the facilities Guidance Policy that the staff (Y.R.L.) signed including the policy of: No corporal punishment shall be used by KIDS COLLEGE staff members

Teacher L.U failed to adhered to facility's written discipline policy, which requires positive methods such as redirection, praise, and brief supervised separation to encourage self-esteem and self-control. On June 16, 2025, teacher L.U. physically grabbed a child by the shoulders to lift her during a tantrum, an action not listed as an acceptable discipline method and which may have contributed to reported emotional distress. The full extent of alleged incident (yanking the child's arm multiple times and causing a fall) could not be substantiated due to lack of retained video footage and inconclusive evidence of physical harm

The video footage shows how a teacher pulled and lifted a child from the floor aggressively. The teacher was observed holding the child off of the floor by one arm and the hood from his jacket. The teacher then took the child to a child and sat him down forcibly. The child child did not appear to be hurt from the incident as he quickly get up from the chair and flipped it over. This standard will close with noncompliance as the teacher's actions towards the child failed to comply with the facility's written discipline policy. Resolved as the teacher was terminated from the facility
