One employee, KV, completed the Safe Sleep course after the 30 day requirement and One employee, MR, has been at the facility for over 30 days and has not completed the course. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 41 that: 4.2.3 Safe Sleep/ Shaken Baby Syndrome Training All child care personnel who work in a facility that offers care to infants must have training regarding guidance on safe sleep practices, preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; recognition of signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma; strategies for coping with crying, fussing, or distraught child and the development and vulnerabilities of the brain in infancy in early childhood within 30 days of hire at the facility. For child care personnel to satisfy this requirement the training must be accomplished through one of following methods: Department's Health Safety and Nutrition course, Safe Sleep course, or the Early Learning Floridas Safe Sleep Practices. There are currently 29 children enrolled. Counselor reviewed all 29 children's records. One child who has been at the facility for over 30 days, did not have a shot record. The Child Care Facility Handbook states on page 59 that: 7.1 Immunization Records The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A-1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. Counselor reviewed 10 employee records. One employee, PC, has been at the facility for over 90 days and has not completed the SR Pre Service training requirements. The OEL Health and Safety Handbook states that: Beginning April 1, 2017, federal Child Care Development Fund regulations required the following: All providers, program personnel and volunteers who work more than 10 hours per month must be in compliance with one of the pre -service training options defined below (outlined in the Health and Safety Handbook), or within 90 days if hired after March 31, 2017. All personnel must be supervised in the classroom before completing pre-service training. All personnel and volunteers who work more than 10 hours per month must complete pre-service training within the prescribed 90- day timeframe. After this 90-day window, anyone who has not completed the pre-service training is ineligible to be in a classroom until they have completed the training, regardless of whether or not they are supervised
