FSC observed provider have not conducted an inclement weather drill the year of 2023 or 2024 Lockdown and inclement weather drills shall be conducted a minimum of one time each per operating year when children are in care and the documentation of these drills must be maintained for 12 months from the date of the drill. A lockdown or inclement weather drill may substitute for one monthly fire drill. Substitutions for fire drills may not occur more than three times within the licensure year. Children must never be left without childcare personnel supervision inside or outside the facility, in a vehicle, or at a field trip location. 65C-22.001(5)(b), F.A.C: (b) Direct supervision means actively watching and directing childrens activities within the same room or designated outdoor play area, during transportation, any activity outside of the facility, and responding to the needs of each child while in care. FSC observed that one staff who begun training in May 2022 has not completed the required 40 hours training yet. T / A provided that Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility
