Upon delivery of Notice of Violation on 09/13/2024, Licensing monitor observed a dog onsite [Mia] jump on a child as he were entering the facility for aftercare. Facility owner M.M. is observed shielding the child from Mia. Upon approach, the dog also jumped on licensing monitor. When questioned about the dog, A.M states she was just taking the dog for a walk and that it belongs to the Director, M.M. Mia is observed on a long leash, making control of dog's behavior or interactions with children difficult. M.M. arrived shortly after and confirmed ownership of Mia. M.M states that Mia is only onsite for that day. When she is advised that children may not interact with the dog in this way, to Provider responded, "What if she's here for the kids," furthering the impression that Mia is regularly on site. When asked about parent notification, M.M. stated "I told them verbally, all the parents know about Mia." During the course of the visit, the dog followed M.M. into the meal preparation area where owner states she was just throwing something away
